Theft, Burglary Attempt Reported in Hatboro

Hatboro Police heard reports of theft, attempted burglary and criminal mischief earlier this month.

A satellite radio was stolen from a vehicle parked in Hatboro and a borough shed was attempted to be burglarized earlier this month, according to Hatboro Police. 

Theft (from vehicle)

Sometime overnight between Nov. 21 and Nov. 22 someone entered an unlocked car parked in the 200 block of Jacksonville Road and stole a Sirius XM satellite radio with mount and charger. The stolen items have an estimated replacement value of approximately $230, police said.

Burglary attempt

Sometime between Nov. 19 and Nov. 20, someone attempted to burglarize a shed and a garage located on a property in the 400 block of North York Road, according to police. Locks and doors were damaged on both structures, but entry was not gained and nothing was stolen. An estimate of the cost to repair the damage is not available.

Criminal mischief

Sometime overnight between Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 someone smashed the driver’s side window of a 2005 Dodge that was parked in the 300 block of Horsham Road. The window is expected to cost approximately $100 to replace.

Disorderly conduct

A 19-year-old Nicholson woman was cited on Nov. 10 at 7:38 p.m. for disorderly conduct, driving while operating privilege is suspended, and registration required, when she was stopped for an expired registration plate in the 200 block of South York Road and an officer found a marijuana pipe, according to police. 

Driving Under the Influence

A 27-year-old Warminster man was arrested on Nov. 6 at 8:21 a.m. and charged with Driving Under the Influence and related traffic offenses when police said he crossed from the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes on South York Road near Mill Road and nearly struck a patrol officer head-on forcing the officer to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
