Police: Shots Fired on County Line Road; Gunman at Large (UPDATED)

Police continue to search for a man with a handgun who allegedly shot four times along County Line Road in Warminster this morning.

Update Saturday, 1:32 p.m.:

The former owner of MamaJuana's Kitchen turned himself in to Warminster Police Friday night.

Update Friday, 1:04 p.m.:

Police said a business dispute ended in shots being fired in a Warminster eatery Friday morning.

According to police, Jose Delgado, 33, the former owner of MamaJuana’s Kitchen, entered the business and fired four shots in the direction of the current owner just after 10 a.m.

“By the grace of God, we don’t have multiple victims,” said Warminster Chief of Police Mike Murphy at a press conference at the township building following the incident. Three people were present inside the take-out restaurant on East County Line Road at the time of the incident.

Murphy said police were searching for Delgado, who was said to be armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun. Police said Delgado was wearing grey pants, a grey jacket with some red detailing and a grey knit cap at the time of the incident.

Murphy said Delgado is believed to have fled the scene in a red Ford Explorer, but had no further information on the car or the direction it was headed.

Delgado’s last known address is in New York City, and Murphy said he might be headed in that direction.

He also said it is possible he is traveling with an associate by the name of Jose Huertas, of the 700 block of Madison Street in Philadelphia.

As of Friday afternoon, detectives were still processing the scene and interviewing witnesses. Murphy said a language barrier presented a challenge, and officers from Horsham Township are helping with the translation.

Nearby William Tennent High School and McDonald Elementary Schools were briefly placed on lockdown following notification of the incident this morning, but that lockdown has been lifted.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Warminster Police Department.

Jac ur awesome! We need more people like you. People that are down to earth and care for people, not color.
Pete Krenshaw January 14, 2013 at 04:16 PM
What surveyor map are you talking about? There is no question the north side of County Line Road is Warminster and the south side is Hatboro.
European American. January 14, 2013 at 04:57 PM
So what if its from 2008. Are you saying minorities stopped commuting crimes in the last 4 years? The numbers don't lie. A fact is a fact and some people don't want to believe it for some reason. All I'm doing is pointing out the FACT that minorities commit more crimes.

Amen Sue! What scares me most is the very real possibility that the folks writing their opinions here on this forum of the Warminster Patch have children in our schools right now and those individuals are filling their little minds with the very same racism and hatred that they themselves are spouting about. This type of behavior creates bullies. Even though our Constitution of The United States does give us the freedom of speech and it may be everyone's right, including my own to voice their own opinion here; one should reflect long and hard prior to "penning" one's thoughts in an open forum for the world to read because those words reflect your true personality and Big Brother is reading our every word. They know who we are. They know where we live. Now they know what you are thinking. Consider that the next time you place your rant in print. I'm just saying...........
franklistner January 14, 2013 at 05:38 PM
Jared....Sue's age comment actually was a question as to the maturity level of the people ranting back and forth in this forum. It had nothing to do with their actual chronological age. There are those of us with a deeper and clearer understanding of life and our comments will nearly always be taken literally by those with a limited comprehension.

I think there is a myriad of reasons for the numbers being reported as they are. It may be as simple as minorities commit more crimes (they are certainly arrested and convicted more often, as indicated by the reports you posted). I think the more important question is "why are these types of crimes being committed?". I believe it goes beyond race and maybe beyond socioeconomic status. We seem to be living more and more in an entitlement society where everyone is special even before they do anything which can be considered as such. Perhaps lower income people are not afforded the same opportunities, especially if they are of another race. Perhaps it is such a difficult cycle to break that most never due and others may even us it all as an excuse... More so than anything else, I believe these are the topics worthy of conversation as opposed to the location of the establishment in question in this article or if "Parkers" are to blame. These ideas and comments above have little to no bearing on the real issues and are really just a complete waste of time.

Please you guys. Do this "debate" a little more friendly. Believe me I know it can be tough holding back. I hold back every time I post. Go about it nicer and get better results.

I have lived in Warminster my whole life. Every couple years something big happens. A shooting, a murder, a robbery. It happens in other towns too. Lets see I believe a man raped an murdered an eldery woman in Hatboro a couple years ago. A man shot his wife and child in Doylestown a year or two ago. So no town is without it's crime. This was a dispute between the current owner and ex owner of the business. Now that's not to say it wasn't a big deal because it was. The problem is people react without thinking anymore. It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with stupidity and mentality.
Stephanie Hauser January 15, 2013 at 01:01 PM
Yay Jared... I've lived here my whole life too. Almost 37 years. Its definitely NOT what it used to be.
Mike January 15, 2013 at 02:14 PM
Jeff,Read what you just wrote; I'll presume the facts are true. This proves my point that we are living in an ever-growing police-state. I wonder if you have the breakdown of those who are incarcerated and under probation/parole for crimes that involve THC (marijuana) and/or possession of recreational use of controlled substances and other SILLY convictions usually as the result of a plea bargain just so the DA's office "wins" a greater # of cases at the expense of ruining the lives of citizens as the cop(s) and ADA's go home and indulge in some alcoholic drinks? It was NOT that way in the 70s/early 80's. The USA has the greatest percentage of people in jails/prisons than ANY other country. That high % is NOT a compliment to the police. It's a sad representation of this growing police state and abuse of power of the once helpful officers.
Mike January 15, 2013 at 02:24 PM
I'd like to see how most of these suburban officers would fare working in the real bad lands of Philly where work IS WORK -- not just cruising around looking for a person's car tire to touch a lane marker to begin a DUI witch hunt to destroy lives since there's nothing better to do 90% of the time. It's SICKENING.
Stephanie Hauser January 15, 2013 at 02:40 PM
I want to help make it better, but how?
ForAndAgainst January 17, 2013 at 01:45 PM
@ Parkersrscum I have lived here for almost 30 years now. You are right there have been some crazy stuff that happens in 'the park'. But guess what? You now get kicked out for having felonies, you can't live there with convictions, they have cracked down on that years ago. Learn about what the hell you are putting down. And @World Peace...I think I know who you are :-) hehehe
You Idiots January 20, 2013 at 03:42 PM
You are all idiots.
parkersrscum January 20, 2013 at 03:56 PM
Kicking out the felons will do nothing and changing the mentality of the residents is impossible. Bulldoze the entire place and make the dirt bags move ,with no government assistance. They have leeched off society for too long.
parkersrscum January 20, 2013 at 04:00 PM
Elle. Take your eighth grade education and go back to geography class. County Line Rd. (look at the name) divides Bucks and Montgomery Counties. It may have a Hatboro mailing address but that means nothing.
parkersrscum January 20, 2013 at 04:03 PM
@ElleWaller "PARKERSRSCUM....grow a set, come visit our "ghetto" hon ;)" Waller rhythms with swaller.....how much for a dollar????????
momsSerenity January 20, 2013 at 06:48 PM
Cause They lied, so people would stop calling and worrying,so they just said he was in custody even though he was not !! also Yes it Does Matter if it is WARMINSTER OR HATBORO, Considering, Hatboro is Montgomery county and Warminster is Bucks County!!! Would you want The police and all the Authorities going to the wrong County In A Emergency ??? please people use common sense.
momsSerenity January 20, 2013 at 06:54 PM
Thank You Jaclyn !!!!! So True!!!!
momsSerenity January 20, 2013 at 07:06 PM
The Restaurant is not in Hatboro, it is in Warminster,pa. they are just using Hatboro as its postal Address, just like We People who live in Hatboro, are now Recieving our mail from Horsham post office !!!!
Stephanie Hauser January 20, 2013 at 07:28 PM
Wow way to go Americans, I like how were all coming together as a community. @ "parkersrscum" lol I'm sorry, but that name is so funny. To let a community bother you that bad and control you to the point that you make your screen name "parkersrscum" says a lot about you. I feel bad for you and your misplaced anger. The park, in my eyes, is such a great community. Did you know that Warminster Heights, is a co-op? To move in to Warminster Heights, you have to have the co-op fee, which is currently about $7600.00. It's not a government run community, it's a resident run community. Did you know that? That $7600.00 co-op fee comes out of your pocket, not the government. That must be paid, if you get approved to move in, in full, before you move in. Thats after you pass a criminal background check and credit check. Sounds safe to me. I like knowing for a fact that none of my neighbors are criminals. Warminster Heights also has HUD housing, also known as section 8. They do not except the Section 8 Voucher, so please do not get that confused. You have to go through the same process as regular housing and still have the co-op fee to move in. The HUD housing program in Warminster Heights is based on your income. You pay up to market rent value. Some of those section 8 residents could be paying $1500.00 per month for their unit. That is more than the rent is for regular housing. Hey "parkersrscum" times change.

parkersrscum January 20, 2013 at 07:48 PM
OMG! I’ve been soooo wrong! Time to sell my Toll Brothers stock and buy in the Park. All your efforts are in vain but keep floating out the BS, it makes me laugh.
Stephanie Hauser January 20, 2013 at 08:49 PM
What did you think the process was to move in there?
parkersrscum January 21, 2013 at 12:12 AM
Don't know, don't care! I run a business near the Park and have had no luck with the residents of your “community“. I have found them lazy, uneducated, deceitful, unskilled and addicted to drugs or alcohol. Vandalism and graffiti of the property is a common occurrence. When the police have caught the offenders, guess where they were from? Keep up the good work though……..I’ll get the bulldozer ready!!!!!!
ForAndAgainst January 21, 2013 at 01:49 PM
Bahahaha @ Toll Brothers. Bunch of scum bags there as well. You run a business around the Park? You are right though, somewhat. There are some scruffy, disgusting, uneducated, dirty, messed up people in there. Ill agree. But there are some amazing, educated, stand up, law abiding people in there as well. The place you want to bull doze would be the ville. or 'Bucks Landing'...That place is crawling with crime and illegals..Since the park has had enough of the crime and felonies and cleaned up alot, there has been almost ZERO issues there. If all you have to go on is the 'people' you deal with in your business...then you must run a pretty shithole establishment to only get those customers who are the shitty side of the park.
RDGathers February 12, 2013 at 02:07 AM
I know hundreds of ppl from lacey park and 90percent of them are pos criminals. drug dealers who will rob you when your not looking or worse. right to your face. get rid of the park get rid of crime. simple as that. you can defend them all you want but everybody knows whats the truth.
Stephanie Hauser February 12, 2013 at 05:07 PM
