Second Alarmers Volunteers Honored

Two of the emergency rescue squad's leaders were among 18 recognized statewide.

Two volunteers of were recognized recently with the Pennsylvania Star of Life Award.

Volunteer leaders Chief of Operations , of Willow Grove and Battalion Chief Matthew McVoy, of Warminster, were honored earlier this month during the Pennsylvania EMS Provider Foundation's fifth annual PA EMS 911 Event: A Tribute to our Past and Present EMS Heroes.

Second Alarmers operates stations and provides life-saving services through nearly 12,000 calls a year to seven municipalities in Montgomery County, including Hatboro and Upper Moreland.
