Pooping Dog Prompts Emergency Landing for Philly-Bound Plane

A US Airways flight headed to Philadelphia made an emergency landing in Kansas City after a dog pooped in the aisle three times.

It doesn’t get much crappier than this.

A “large” dog that went to the bathroom several times on a Philadelphia-bound plane, prompted an emergency landing Wednesday, NBC10 reported.

The US Airways flight from Los Angeles made an emergency landing in Kansas City after the dog pooped in the aisle three times, according to reports. Passengers became “physically ill” from the stench and the crew was unable to clean up the multiple messes after the paper towels ran out, NBC10 reported.

Inside Edition reported the animal was a service dog.

Passengers took to Twitter to express their disgust and frustration.

"So the full sized dog that's on my flight, well it did what dogs do & went to the bathroom when it felt like it smack dab in middle of aisle," one passenger Tweeted.

“Just gets worse @USAirways after being delayed 2 hours we get grounded because of dog poop on the plane. A 7 hour trip is now pushing 14,” another wrote.

“I don't think the dog poop was initial issue, it was more the people around getting sick, a la when Chunk ralphed over the balcony #Goonies,” another Tweeted.

are dogs allowed in planes? if it was a guide dog, I feel really bad for the dog and it's companion. that poor person relies on their dog to get around and with a sick puppy that's no good

The dog obviously had something wrong with him. Service dogs are very well trained and would never go to bathroom unless there was a real problem. A service dog would not leave it's master, apparently this dog was fed something it should not have had. God forbid the master was a blind person. Who knows what some asshole did while they were waiting at the airport.

How sad for the dog. They prob arrived to airport 2 hours ahead of their flight. Then there was a 2 hour delay. 4 hours the dog is inside a terminal. Now the dog is in the plane for probably 3 hours. 7 hours the dog is expected to hold its bowels. Probably was also nervous. The owner of the dog shouldn't expect the dog to not have its basic needs met. Expecting a service dog to go that long with out relieving itself is inhumane.

"Crew was unable to clean up AFTER THE PAPER TOWELS RAN OUT....is the bigger message here. The plane was probably stocked with one roll! Flying is an absolute nightmare in general, airlines cut all kinds of costs even the paper towel budget I guess. So the plane has to do an emergency landing because the PAPER TOWELS RAN OUT...incredible---is that the dog's fault that the plane wasn't stocked? Big babies took to twitter. I feel worse for the dog and his companion who had to endure the wrath of everyone around them and agree with the above comments. Possibly someone gave the dog something at the airport that made him sick. So the dog had a few accidents, the crew didn't have enough or any cleaning supplies. Not the dog's fault. I can't tell you how many flights I've been on where a toddler did exactly the same thing--and they had access to a bathroom, the dog didn't.
