Police Seek Hit and Run Driver

Hatboro Police said a driver did not stop after colliding with a bicyclist.

A 15-year-old Hatboro boy sustained non-life threatening injuries after coming into contact with a car whose driver did not stop after the collision, according to police. 

The crash occurred Wednesday at about 9:01 p.m. as the boy was riding his bicycle eastbound on Shirley Road near Crescent Road. He steered toward his left to go around  a parked car when he came into contact with the left rear area of a westbound car causing him to crash, police said. 

The boy was treated at Abington Memorial Hospital.

The car did not stop and was described only as a red sedan, possibly a four door, according to police. It was last seen traveling westbound on Shirley Road. It may have minor damage consisting of scratches or dents to its left rear fender or quarter panel area.
