Police: Public Drunkenness Leads to Assault on Officer

A 22-year-old Horsham woman is free on bail after allegedly resisting arrest and kicking a Hatboro Police officer.

A Horsham woman is free on $10,000 bail after Hatboro Police said she "repeatedly kicked an officer."

Celia J. Ziegler, 22, and a 21-year-old woman from Downingtown, were arrested for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on Sept. 21 at 10:51 p.m. when police said they were found intoxicated in the 300 block of Horsham Road.  

The Downingtown woman was subsequently cited and released. Ziegler was additionally charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, and harassment, after police said she physically resisted arrest and repeatedly kicked an officer. She was arraigned before District Justice Juanita Price of Abington and was released from custody on $10,000 bail.
