Police: Man Tried to Lure Young Girls
Man in white van tried to lure four young girls into his vehicle Monday evening.
At 23 Edward Road in the Hatboro section of Upper Moreland Township, between York and Blair Mill roads, a white male, driving a white van, pulled up to four young girls and ordered them into his vehicle minutes after 7 p.m. Monday evening, according to an alert sent out by Upper Moreland police Chief Thomas Nestel.
The girls, who are between the ages of 8- and 9-years-old, fled to a nearby residence.
The van, which had PVC piping on the roof, proceeded to flee southbound on Blair Mill Road.

At this time, police are working to gather more information, Nestel said Monday night. The chief added children should take emergency precautions if presented with a similar threat.
Monday's incident comes just hours after . A 19-year-old Upper Southampton man was charged in connection with that incident.
