Police Nab Man Wanted in Horsham Home Invasion

Suspect will be arraigned today

Police have arrested the 21-year-old man suspected of committing a home invasion robbery Sunday morning in the 100 block of Chestnut Lane in Horsham.

Ayodele Oke, 21, was arrested at an Upper Moreland residence Monday at approximately 8 p.m. Monday, according to Horsham Police Lt. Jon Clark. He is expected to be arraigned later today for various charges, including armed robbery, aggravated and simple assault, burglary, among other charges. 

"It was a great investigation," Clark said of Horsham's collaborative effort with Upper Moreland police.

Besides Upper Moreland, police had residential addresses for Oke in Warminster and Hatboro.

Hatboro Police responded just over a week ago to a  involving two black males in their 20s. Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner said that investigation is ongoing. "At this point we have no evidence they are related," Gardner said.

Clark said Tuesday that police "don't know" if Oke was involved in that home invasion.
