Man Struck By Two Vehicles on North York Road

The Upper Moreland man is conscious and alert following the Tuesday evening accident, Hatboro Police said.

A 57-year-old Upper Moreland man is "up and talking and is expected to survive" after being hit by two vehicles on North York Road in Hatboro Tuesday night, police said.

Sgt. James Petrik would not release the man's name, but said he was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital following the accident, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m. On Wednesday, Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner said the man was listed in critical condition at the hospital.

Preliminary investigation determined that the man had been struck by a southbound vehicle, a Pontiac Vibe, at 21 N. York Road. The impact knocked the man into the northbound lane, where he was struck by a Toyota Rav 4, Petrik said.
