Man Injured in Saturday Night Motorcycle Crash

A man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after he lost control of his motorcycle in Horsham.

A man escaped with non-life threatening injuries after being thrown off his Harley-Davidson motorcycle after a crash Saturday night in Horsham. 

The middle-aged man was riding on Witmer Road near Wade Avenue, across the street from the site of Saturday morning's that killed two teens, when he lost control, jumped the curb and was thrown more than 15 feet, police and witnesses said.

"At first he couldn't stand up, but then a few minutes later he was fine and asking about his bike," said Mark Nagel, who was just feet away, at the makeshift memorial set up for the teens who died in Saturday's crash, when the accident occurred.

The injured motorcyclist's wife was riding on a different bike next to him at the time of the accident, police said.

Horsham police said, the motorcycle driver was taken by members of the to a local hospital for further examination.

Police and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene at 8:42 p.m.

The crash did not disrupt traffic flow on Witmer Road and police cleared the scene about an hour after it happened.

"The kids from this morning's accident must have been looking over the motorcyclist," said Nagel. "He was lucky."
