Man Convicted in Horsham Home Invasion Robbery

Ayodele Gabriel Oke was convicted of charges stemming from a 2011 armed robbery of a former Hatboro-Horsham High School classmate.

A jury has convicted a 22-year-old Hatboro man for various charges stemming from a of a former classmate last April, according to an article in The Mercury.
Ayodele Gabriel Oke, of the 300 block of York Road, was convicted of a host of charges related to the April 3, 2011 robbery at the Horsham home of Shawn Schwarz, a former classmate of Oke's. 
, Schwarz said that Oke entered the home he shared with his parents, placed one hand around his neck and used the other hand to point a gun at Schwarz's head, while demanding cash. 

“He said, ‘Shawn, gimme your money,’” Schwarz said at that time. When the victim refused, Oke was said to have choked him. 

According to the criminal complaint released at the time of , Oke then said, “I’m about to start lettin' off shots."

The criminal complaint said Oke then closed the curtains and told the victim he had been in the house too long. In the end, Oke was said to have robbed Schwarz of $185. Schwarz fled to a neighbor's house. 

Judge Joseph A. Smyth, who presided over Oke's trial, deferred sentencing so court officials could undertake a background investigative report, according to The Mercury article. Oke faces a possible maximum sentence of 37-75 years in prison.
