Law Enforcement Officials Seek Suspect in Attempted Bank Robbery

Police say man tried to rob Citizens Bank in Horsham

Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob the on Blair Mill and Moreland roads just before 11 a.m. Monday. 

A white male in his 20s wearing a white baseball hat and gray sweatshirt attempted to rob the bank, which is located in the 200 block of Blair Mill Road in Horsham, according to a police alert entered on Nixle, a Web site designed for the exchange of police and government information. 

FBI Special Agent J.J. Klaver further described the suspect as being 5’10” tall, thin build, clean shaven and wearing black sweatpants with three stripes on the sides of the legs.

Klaver said the man presented a "threatening demand note" to a bank teller. 

"He fled without getting any money," Upper Moreland Police Chief Thomas Nestel wrote in the alert, which was posted at 11:05 a.m. "His direction and method of travel is unknown."

Horsham Police Sgt. Richard Carey said late Monday that he could not release any further information.
