Keep Vehicles Locked, Police Urge

Hatboro Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles–and store valuables elsewhere–following a rash of vehicle break-ins.

The inside of vehicles is not the best place to store GPS units, headphones, wallets and other valuable items, Hatboro Police caution.

Particularly if the vehicles storing the goods are unlocked.

Overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, six unlocked vehicles were entered and personal property was taken, according to Hatboro Police. The vehicles were parked on Home Road, Timber Lane, Harding Avenue, and Moreboro Road, police said.

Property stolen consisted of a GPS unit, headphones, a wallet, a portable DVD player, sunglasses, a Nintendo DS, an induction cooker, tools and golf clubs.

In addition to not storing valuables in their cars and keep their doors locked, police urge people to call 911 to report suspicious people.
