Cars entered, scuffle ensues at Walmart.

Severals cars in the area off of Herman Road between Norristown Road and Hunt Drive were entered during the overnight hours Thursday, Horsham police said. 

The cars were parked on Devon Circle and Curry Lane. In addition, a home in the unit block of Steeplechase Circle reported that the residence had been burglarized. Electronic items were among the items reported stolen, Horsham police said.

Nearby, in the Hatboro section of Upper Moreland, police said five unlocked vehicles were entered during the overnight hours of April 22 and April 23, Upper Moreland police said. Cars were parked in the following areas: the 3200 block of Rose Circle; the 400 block of Exton Road; and the 400 block of Manor Road.

Items stolen included GPS units, Bluetooth ear pieces, loose change, a Coach purse and wallet.

"Residents are strongly encouraged to lock their vehicle and immediately report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood," Upper Moreland police said in a press release.

Retail theft

Matthew Fulforth 19, of the 400 block of Washington Lane in Horsham was arrested and cited for retail theft on April 21 at 11 p.m. for allegedly stealing various items valued at $62 from the Walmart in Willow Grove. Police said store security observed the theft and said that Fulforth walked past the last point of sale without paying for the items. Fulforth was cited for retail theft and released.

Disorderly Conduct

Amanda Gross 20, of the 2500 block of Horsham Road in Hatboro, was arrested on April 20 and cited for disorderly conduct. During an alleged argument with another person at the Walmart in Willow Grove, police said Gross pulled a woman's hair and threw her to the ground.
