And that's just from the outside.
Inside, water and smoke damage is definite. The only uncertainty, according to Anthony Lehman of Accusource Services, is to what extent damage was sustained in the six businesses that comprise the Horsham strip mall, which is located across the street from Village Mall on Moreland Avenue.
"It looks like there's significant damage in every store," Lehman told Patch early Monday morning as he waited for the store owners, or plaza owner to allow his company access to the inside. "When you show up, you pretty much know what it looks like." Chief Tim Flanagan told Patch Monday that officials are still working to determine a cause of the blaze, which broke out about 4:40 p.m. Sunday in the strip mall's laundromat. Flanagan said Foresight and Romano's Pizzeria sustained the most water and smoke damage besides the laundromat. Flanagan said it's possible that the adjacent could reopen soon.
Four firefighters had sustained minor injuries battling the blaze Sunday, Flanagan said. All have been treated and released, he said.
In terms of building damage, Lehman said his company could do anything necessary to bring the businesses back to life, including securing the buildings, removing water and debris and making repairs.
"You get them back in business as soon as possible," Lehman said.
