Horsham Police Investigate Vehicle Thefts

A dozen thefts from the Hideaway Hills section of the township were reported to police.

The is investigating a string of thefts - all from unlocked vehicles - that took place in the Hideaway Hills section from Friday to Monday.

Police said there were 12 different reports from residents of Marietta Drive, Lois Lane, Squire Drive and Cedarhill Road. The only things that appeared to have been taken were small amounts of change, police said. Several of the vehicles were ransacked, but nothing was taken.

Police remind residents that vehicles should be locked overnight and all valuables should be removed.

In addition to the thefts from unlocked vehicles, police received two reports of vehicles being broken into at the English Village Shoppes on Route 309. The first incident, reported after 9 p.m. on Monday, involved the window being broken and items being taken, police said.

The second incident was reported shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday. At that time, the owner of the vehicle reported that she returned to her vehicle and found that several items had been removed from it.
