Horsham PD Arrest Suspects in Store Burglary

Two men who authorities had said may have been involved in several jewelry store burglaries in Montgomery and Bucks counties, have been charged in connection with a burglary at a Horsham jeweler.

A Doylestown man and a North Wales man have been charged in connection with at the English Village Shopping Center.

Ryan Wiley, 23, of June Meadow Dr., Doylestown and Phillip A. Prokop, 38, of Avenel Blvd., North Wales, were arrested on Monday at 2 p.m. and charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy stemming from the Oct. 17 early morning burglary at Jems, Jewels and Gold in Horsham Township.

Horsham Police said Wiley and Prokop were identified as suspects after they attempted to sell "large quantities of jewelry" to a local pawn shop.

Prior to their arrest, authorities had said they believed the suspects may have also committed similar jewelry store burglaries in Newtown Township in Bucks County, as well as in Montgomery Township at a Costco.

At this time, Wiley and Prokop have only been charged with the Horsham store burglary, police said.
