Horsham Man Gets 5 Years Probation for Possessing Child Porn

Felony charges stem from September 2010 incident

A Horsham man will be under court supervision for five years after admitting to possessing child pornography on his home computer.

Christopher Michael Kehres, 25, of the 200 block of Beatrice Avenue, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to five years’ probation after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of sexual abuse of children and possessing child pornography, stemming back to a September 2010 incident.

Police seized three computers and other computer equipment from Kehres’ home, according to documentation. Authorities said they identified files depicting children under the age of 18 in sexual acts or in the simulation of sexual acts.

Kehres was also ordered to 50 hours of community service by Judge Thomas P. Rogers, who accepted a plea agreement in the case.

Probation officers from the county’s sex offender supervision unit will monitor Kehres, the judge said. Under such intensive supervision, probation officers can make unannounced visits to offenders’ homes and can require offenders to undergo counseling and treatment.
