Horsham Man Charged with DUI Following 2 Crashes

A Horsham man has been charged with his fourth DUI offense since April.

A Horsham man charged with his fourth DUI since April allegedly hit two parked vehicles in Whitemarsh Township and attempted to flee the scene, according to the Times Herald.

William F. Hirst Jr., 57, of the 600 block of Marsten Green Court, was arrested on Oct. 22 and charged with driving under the influence after police said he hit a car in the 200 block of Germantown Pike and later struck a car in a driveway on the 4000 block of Fairway Road, according to the newspaper.

Hirst, who was free on $10,000 unsecured bail stemming from another DUI charge, according to court records, had been arrested and charged with DUI on April 4, June 6 and Aug. 27.

Those cases are still ongoing.

In October 2011 Hirst pleaded guilty to a summary offense of public drunkenness and "similar misconduct," according to court records.
