Crews Battle 3rd Suspicious Horsham School Fire

The fire broke out Thursday night in a dumpster at Blair Mill Elementary School.

Firefighters extinguished their third suspicious fire near a school building Thursday night.

 crews responded to  at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to put out a dumpster fire, according to Fire Chief Tim Flanagan.

Flanagan said the fire was contained in the dumpster situated at the Bender Road building and did not spread to the school.

Last weekend  overnight on the school grounds of and the . The Keith Valley fire began in a dumpster on Meetinghouse Road and was contained, according to Flanagan, while the blaze at the montessori school on Upland Avenue began in a shed in the playground area and spread to the school, causing damage to the roof.

Horsham Fire Marshal George Fida is investigating both of those fires. No word on the cause of Thursday's fire, or who may have set it. Lt. Jon Clark said police are still looking into Thursday's fire.
