Hatboro Woman Pleads Not Guilty to 'Sexting' Charges, Awaits Trial

Former Upper Dublin High School teacher Cheryl Bremble waived her right to a formal arraignment.

Cheryl Bremble, the former Upper Dublin School District employee  with a number of crimes related to "sexting" allegations in June, waived her right to appear at a formal arraignment at the  in Norristown today.

At a typical formal arraignment, a judge will read the charges against the defendant, who must then enter a plea of guilty or not guilty. By choosing to waive her rights to the arraignment, Bremble has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Bremble, 40, of the 200 block of West Moreland Avenue in Hatboro, faces one count each of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal use of communication facility, dissemination of explicit sexual materials to a minor, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of a minor and harassment.

The first four charges are felony offenses of the third degree, while the last two are misdemeanors. Felony offenses of the third degree each carry a maximum prison sentence of seven years in Pennsylvania.

According to police, Bremble was arrested on June 10 under suspicion of having "numerous sexually explicit" conversations with a female student both in person and through text messaging. Bremble also allegedly gave the student a sexual device and suggested through text message that she use it.

Bremble will now await the scheduling of her trial, and county officials say it may take two to three weeks before a date is set.
