UPDATE: Hatboro Police Release Video of Theft Suspect

The footage depicts a subject in a Hatboro resident's driveway at 3:40 a.m. on April 16.

Thieves made off with a variety of personal property Sunday night into Monday from multiple unlocked vehicles on North Penn Street, Bon Air Avenue and East Monument Avenue, police said. 

Residents are urged to lock their car doors and to call 911 to report anything suspicious.

Public drunkenness

Joseph Conly, 24, of Warrington, was arrested and cited on April 15 at 2:40 a.m. for public drunkenness when police said he was found highly intoxicated in a parking lot on East Moreland Avenue.

DUI/accident

Jennifer Lee. Lachman, 45, of Horsham, was arrested on April 14 at 6:50 for Driving Under the Influence and related traffic offenses following what police described as a hit and run accident, in which she allegedly fled the scene of a crash that occurred on Moreland and Chester avenues without stopping to render aid or exchange information. 

Police said a witness obtained the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle which was then located by officers at a Lee's Horsham residence.

DUI

Andrea M. Farrell, 42, of Philadelphia, was arrested on April 14 at 2:12 a.m., and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses. Police said an officer on patrol found her vehicle stopped on a hillcrest in the travel lane of South Warminster Road at Colonial Road while she typed a text message.

Retail theft

James Lennen, 75, of Glenside, was arrested on April 13 at 3:34 p.m., for retail theft when he was apprehended by police after allegedly fleeing a retail business in the 100 block of North York Road without paying for $341.92 worth of merchandise.

Burglary

Sometime overnight between April 12 and April 13, someone entered a commercial business on South Penn Street and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register after prying it open. The investigation is ongoing.

Theft

Matthew M. Messina, 22, of Warrington, was arrested on April 12 at 9:05 a.m. at a commercial business in the 200 block of South York Road where he worked after his employer discovered a shortage of funds in his register drawer and called police. Police said Messina stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the business. As a result of the alleged theft, he was charged with theft by unlawful taking; theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received; and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned by District Justice Paul Leo of Hatboro was incarcerated at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail.
