Two charged in two separate DUI, hit and run crashes.

Harassment/solicitation to commit assault

Robert A. Reese, 46, of Warminster, was arrested on Wednesday at 10 a.m. on a Hatboro Police arrest warrant for criminal solicitation to commit aggravated assault, criminal solicitation to commit simple assault, criminal solicitation to commit criminal mischief, and harassment. The arrest stemmed from an investigation that police said revealed Reese solicited another person to assault his brother-in-law and damage his estranged wife’s car. Police intervened before the acts were committed. Reese was arraigned before District Justice Paul Leo of Hatboro and was released on $75,000 unsecure bail.

Driving Under the Influence/hit and run

  • Sharon Chieffo, 50, of Rockledge, was arrested on Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. and charged with Driving Under the Influence and related traffic offenses after police said she was involved in an accident at the Hatboro Wawa on North York Road and fled. The other person involved in the accident was able to follow Chieffo to a parking lot in the area of County Line Road and Madison Avenue where Hatboro Police made the arrest.
  • Brian S. Refsnider, 54, of Hatboro, was arrested on Tuesday 3:12 p.m., and charged with Driving Under the Influence and related traffic offenses after police said he struck a pedestrian in the area of 17 S. York Road and fled.  He and his vehicle were located by Hatboro Police at his house and he was arrested. The pedestrian was not seriously injured.

  • On Tuesday between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone stole a bright yellow Hummer mountain bicycle that was left unlocked in the 400 block of Jacksonville Road. The bicycle has an estimated replacement value of approximately $195.
  • Sometime overnight between Monday and Tuesday someone stole a Garmen Nuvi GPS unit from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of Harding Avenue. The GPS has an estimated replacement value of approximately $300.
