Underage drinking

  • On Saturday at 10:19 p.m., a 16-year-old Hatboro girl was cited for underage drinking when her parents found her intoxicated and took her to the .
  • Hailey B. Beattie, 18, of Hatboro was cited for underage drinking on Friday at 11:55 p.m., following an investigation stemming from a report of underage drinking occurring at an apartment in the 100 block of South York Road.   

Burglary (Commercial)

 Sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, police said someone entered a commercial business in the 300 block of Jacksonville Road through a broken door. Once inside, the suspect was said to have stolen a framed wheat penny collection valued at approximately $1.

Criminal mischief

On Wednesday, the owner of a 2008 Honda Element reported all four tires were slashed while it was parked in a lot in the 100 block of South York Road. The tires are expected to cost approximately $200 to replace.

Dog at large/dangerous dog violation

Paul M. Overwise, 19, of Hatboro, was cited on Wednesday at 9:27 a.m. under a borough ordinance for allowing a dog to run at large, and also under the dangerous dogs statue for failure to properly confine a dangerous dog. Police said they received a report of a Pitbull running at large in the area of Continental and Wilson roads. 

Overwise's Pitbull is under special confinement restrictions due to a prior incident on Nov. 11, 2010 that resulted in charges of harboring a dangerous dog, police said.   

Warrant service

On Tuesday at 7:21 p.m., Steven Aprigliano, 45, of Hatboro, was arrested on a Bucks County bench warrant for failure to appear on forgery charges. Police said he was located at the scene of a disturbance in the 50 block of West Lehman Avenue at the time of his arrest. He was released to the custody of Bucks County deputies.

Criminal mischief

On Tuesday at 1:52 p.m., Clifford J. Schmider, 18, of Hatboro, was cited for criminal mischief when he kicked a large dent in the passenger’s door of a 2010 Toyota Corolla that was parked on Park Avenue.

Criminal mischief (graffiti)

Sometime over the weekend between May 13, and May 16, police said someone spray-painted graffiti on three commercial properties in the area of Meadowbrook Avenue and Oakdale Avenue.  The tags consisted of the words: “shirtless,” “shirt,” “gang inc.,” and “shirtless thugs.”

DUI/accident

Sean T. Rash, 22, of Hatboro, was arrested for driving under the influence and related traffic offenses stemming from a crash at the intersection of York Road and Lehman Avenue on May 15 at 12:23 p.m. Police said he refused to submit to chemical testing and as a result may face enhanced penalties.

DUI

On May 13, at 2:29 a.m., Vahan Andekian, 26, of Warminster, was arrested for driving under the influence and related traffic offenses after he was stopped for speeding, erratic driving/weaving, and stopping during a green traffic signal. Police said he refused to submit to chemical testing and as a result may face enhanced penalties.

Theft

On May 12, a commercial business in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that someone stole a large block of aircraft grade manufacturing aluminum valued at approximately $600.
