Egging cars, panhandling for money and other recent arrests

Erick D. Thompson, 19, of Hatboro, was arrested on Tuesday at 10:24 p.m. on a Berks County bench warrant for probation violations when an officer on patrol observed him in the 400 block of Springdale Avenue. He was released to the custody of Berks County deputies.

On Sunday at 3:37 p.m., four 16-year-old Hatboro boys were cited for disorderly conduct when they were observed throwing sticks at geese at Eaton Park on West Moreland Avenue.

On Sunday at 12:50 a.m., officers investigated a report of numerous parked vehicles - 11 total - being struck with eggs on Manor Road and East Moreland Avenue. Suspects were stopped and confronted by a victim and witness who notified the police.

Presley R. Manzinger, 18, of Jenkintown; Faith Lovett, 18, of Glenside; and Chelsey Cofone, 18, of Abington, were all cited for disorderly conduct. Manzinger, who was driving during the incident, was also cited for obedience to a traffic control device after she ignored a “no right turn” sign posted at the driveway to the police station. None of the vehicles sustained damage during the incident.

Public Drunkenness/Criminal Trespass

Adam L. Haskins, 26, of Darby, was arrested on Saturday at 10:37 p.m. and cited for public drunkenness and criminal trespass after police said he was found intoxicated and panhandling for money at the Wawa on North York Road. He was warned earlier that night about same conduct and was told he would face arrest if he returned to the store. He returned, while intoxicated, and was arrested. Police said he possessed a large sum of cash in his pockets at the time of his arrest.

Public Drunkenness

Kathleen Wambold, 31, of Hatboro, was cited on Saturday at 12:03 a.m. for public drunkenness. While investigating a disturbance in the 100 block of Earl Lane, police said they found Wambold highly intoxicated.

Disorderly Conduct/Harassment/Underage Drinking

On Friday, at 10:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 300 block of Jacksonville Road.

As a result of the investigation, Nicole Mallatratt, 19, of Hatboro was cited for harassment, disorderly conduct, and underage drinking; and Tiffany C. Dobbins, 20, of Horsham, was cited for underage drinking.

Disorderly Conduct/Harassment/Public Drunkenness/Warrant Service

Frank E. Martin, 31, of Hatboro - who has no fixed address but is routinely in and around Hatboro- was arrested on Friday at 10:09 p.m. and cited for harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. 

While officers were on scene investigating a disturbance in the area of York Road and Summit Avenue, police said Martin struck another subject that was present. Police also discovered he was wanted on an active Montgomery County bench warrant for probation violations. He was released to the custody of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.

Warrant Service

Richard A. Jones, 25, of Philadelphia, was arrested on Friday, at 12:45 a.m. on a Philadelphia arrest warrant when he was found panhandling for money at the Wawa on North York Road. He was released to the custody of the Philadelphia Warrant Unit.

Public Drunkenness/Disorderly Conduct/Harassment 

Joei Marie Dinnis, 28, of Hatboro, was arrested on March 29, at 2:31 a.m. and cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and harassment after officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of North York Road.

A Hatboro District Court bench warrant was also located for her for failure to pay fines. She was arraigned and sentenced to 37 days incarceration in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Burglary (residential) 

Sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on March 28, someone burglarized an apartment in the 100 block of South York Road. Police said entry to the apartment was gained by forcing open the front door. Once inside, the suspect searched through various property, however, nothing was found to be missing. 

Disorderly Conduct/Harassment

Clifford J. Schmider, 18, of Hatboro, was cited on March 22 at 4:22 p.m. for disorderly conduct and harassment after investigation revealed he spit on a 14-year-old Horsham girl in the 100 block of North York Road.

Disorderly Conduct

Edward Garvin, 46, of Levittown, and James Misnik, 39, of Philadelphia, were both cited on March 20 at 3:55 p.m. for disorderly conduct after officers investigated a disturbance in the area of Moreland Avenue and York Road.

Simple Assault/Recklessly Endangering Another Person/Criminal Trespass/etc.

On March 20 at 1:18 p.m., officers investigated an assault that occurred in the 400 block of Springdale Avenue. As a result of the investigation, James M. Strange, 37, of Hatboro, was charged via summons with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, criminal trespass, harassment, and disorderly conduct. The victim, a 40-year-old Hatboro man, received medical treatment for lacerations and broken bones in his face.

Disorderly Conduct/Harassment

Nsikan E. Usen, 25, of Philadelphia, was cited on March 19 at 2:20 a.m. for harassment and disorderly conduct after an officer on patrol observed him slap a 22-year-old Hatboro woman in the face in front of the Wawa on North York Road. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
