Hatboro Police Blotter

Teen arrested in connection with last month's theft from vehicles

Police arrested an 18-year-old Hatboro man in conjunction with a string of thefts from vehicles in February.

Dylan M. Staines, from the Hatboro section of Upper Moreland Township, was arrested at approximately 3:54 p.m. Wednesday on a Hatboro Police arrest warrant. He was arraigned before Hatboro District Justice Paul Leo on five counts of theft from a motor vehicle; three counts of receiving stolen property; possession of a controlled substance; loitering and prowling at night time; and disorderly conduct. Staines was then released from custody on $25,000 unsecured bail. A majority of the stolen property was recovered during the investigation.

His arrest resulted from a police investigation that began on February 27. At that time,  police officers were looking into a report of suspicious subjects in the 300 block of Warren Road.
