A Hatboro man will serve between 72 hours and six months behind bars for a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian, according to Phillyburbs.com.
Brian S. Refsnider, 55, who was arrested last February following the Feb. 28, 2012 crash, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and fleeing the scene of a crash.
During his sentencing this week, Refsnider's license was suspended for a year and he was ordered to serve three years of probation following parole. In addition, he must pay a $1,000 fine, carry out 36 hours of community service and undergo a substance abuse review and comply with suggested treatment.
At the time of his arrest last year, police said Refsnider struck a pedestrian in the area of 17 S. York Road and fled the scene. He and his vehicle were located by Hatboro Police soon after at his house and he was subsequently arrested. The pedestrian was not seriously injured.
