Hatboro Commends Cops

Police Chief James Gardner recognized Hatboro and Upper Moreland officers involved in the arrest of suspects

Police teamwork may have saved the day last month, or at least aided in the arrest of two suspects charged in connection with a . 

Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner presented officers from his department, as well as Upper Moreland, with commendations Monday for their collaborative efforts in capturing the fleeing alleged robbers.

Gardner recognized Hatboro Sgt. John Carr and officers Christopher Swoyer and Alex Bruckner; and Upper Moreland's D squad, led by Sgt. Brian Newhall and officer Matthew Snyder. Newhall and Snyder saw the suspects in a fleeing vehicle, gave chase and apprehended one of the suspects.

"Had it not been for the team work ... the suspects may have escaped apprehension," Gardner said. "We work as a team in law enforcement."
