FBI Seeks 'Armed Serial Bank Robber'

Authorities said the masked robber is believed to have been responsible for a bank robbery in Horsham last year.

The FBI is seeking information leading to the identification of a serial bank robber suspected in at least four incidents since last year, including a June 8 robbery of Colonial American Bank in Horsham. 

The most recent robbery took place on March 30 at the PNC Bank branch located at 1015 South Bethlehem Pike in Ambler, according to authorities.  

Besides the bank robberies in Horsham and Ambler, the FBI said the suspect is believed to be responsible for the following robberies:

  • Sept. 28 – First Federal Bank, 803 Park Avenue, Wrightstown
  • Jan. 18 – Wells Fargo Bank, 706 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

In each robbery, the man has covered his face with a black ski mask, or a white pillowcase/sack with eye holes cut out, according to authorities. He is described as a white male, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2 with a stocky build. He may have blue eyes. In three of the four robberies, he has been dressed in a jacket and tie; in the fourth, a gray hooded sweatshirt and sneakers. He’s also been known to wear latex gloves, sunglasses or safety glasses, and a large-brimmed straw hat.

He has displayed a small black semi-automatic handgun, sometimes in a shoulder holster.

This suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about him is urged to call the FBI at 215-641-8910. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
