Drunken Hatboro Man Broke Into Home, Police Say

A borough man faces a felony charge of criminal trespass for allegedly breaking into a Hatboro home.

A 21-year-old Hatboro man who police described as "highly intoxicated" allegedly entered a borough home and stole items early Sunday morning, according to police. 

Richard T. Sutton was arrested on Sunday at 3:48 a.m. and charged with a third-degree felony count of criminal trespass, public drunkenness and theft by unlawful taking, according to court documents.

Hatboro Police allege that Sutton broke into someone's home in the 500 block of Windover Road while under the influence of alcohol.

He was arraigned by District Justice Andrea Duffy of Montgomery Township and released from custody on $25,000 unsecured bail. He awaits a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 16.
