Clothing Dryer Stolen in Hatboro, Police Say

Someone hauled away a clothes dryer before a Hatboro resident could have it installed, according to police.

A thief was apparently in need of some dry clothes. The unknown culprit made off with an Amana clothes dryer in Hatboro recently, according to police. 

The dryer, valued at $400, was in the midst of being installed on Sunday, just after 3:30 p.m., when it was stolen from the curb outside a Harding Avenue residence, police said. 

The resident was in the process of installing the accompanying washing machine inside the home when the dryer was taken, police said. When he returned to retrieve and install the clothes dryer a short time later it was gone, according to police.

Theft (vehicle)

On Sunday between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., someone stole a red 2002 Honda Shadow 750 motorcycle that was parked on Moreboro Road at Horsham Road, according to police. The motorcycle has an estimated replacement value of approximately $4,000, police said.

Criminal mischief

On Feb. 22, sometime between 1 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone kicked the door to an apartment in the 100 block of Byberry Avenue, which caused considerable damage, according to police. Investigation revealed that the door held secure and entry was not gained, police said.
