Black Bear Euthanized in Horsham

The bear had a broken leg, Pennsylvania Game Commission authorities said.

A bear that was spotted overnight outside the Wawa in Horsham on 611 near County Line Road has been euthanized, multiple media outlets are reporting.

The Intelligencer reported that the bear was euthanized around noon by the Pennsylvania Game Commission after authorities determined it had a broken leg. An official told the publication the bear, which was spotted in the convenience store parking lot around 2 a.m., was likely hit by a car.

After the bear was spotted at Wawa, eyewitnesses said it headed southeast along County Line Road, NBC10 reported.
