2 Plead Guilty in $1 Million Jewelry Store Thefts

Horsham Township Police arrested the men last year for a burglary at Jems, Jewels and Gold at the English Village Shopping Center.

Two men nabbed last fall for allegedly stealing and attempting to sell "large quantities of jewelry" from a Horsham Township jeweler have admitted to that burglary, as well as several others, according to PhillyBurbs.

Ryan Wiley, 23, of June Meadow Dr., in Doylestown and Phillip A. Prokop, 38, of Avenel Blvd., in North Wales, pleaded guilty in Bucks County Court this week to numerous counts of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and related crimes stemming from the theft of jewelry valued at $1 million.

Besides the October burglary at Jems, Jewels and Gold in the English Village Shopping Center in Horsham Township, Wiley and Prokop admitted to breaking into businesses and homes in Bucks, Burlington and Northampton counties.

Wiley and Prokop will be sentenced later this year and could each face more than 20 years in jail.
