2 Charged in Scrap Metal Thefts

Two men who allegedly conspired to steal–and attempted to sell–scrap metal taken from a Horsham Township business are behind bars.

Tyler James Gahagan, of Willow Grove, and Alexander J. Kochanowicz, of Jenkintown, were arrested and charged with criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at night time, possessing instruments of crime, receiving stolen property, and theft by unlawful taking or disposition after a local businessman reported the theft of scrap metal from his property sometime overnight on July 10. 

Gahagan was arrested on July 10, as he attempted to sell the metal stolen from the Horsham Township business, according to police. Kochanowicz was arrested on Tuesday.

Both men were remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to await further court proceedings.
