Montgomery County Offers Workshops and Seeks Public Input
on New County Comprehensive Plan
Norristown, PA (October 9, 2013) – Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) is kicking off a yearlong effort to engage the community in forming the county’s new comprehensive plan, Montco 2040: A Shared Vision. This important plan will look at issues that affect everyone in the county, including traffic and transit, parks and trails, housing, and economic growth. The plan will guide future development and investment in Montgomery County.
There are a number of ways for residents, businesses, schools, organizations, and others to participate in creating a future vision for Montgomery County. Everyone is invited to attend one of four public workshops. Find out about the first part of the plan, Montgomery County Today, which provides the background information for the plan, and give feedback on a variety of issues.

November 18 – 7-9 PM – Steel River Playhouse, 245 East High Street, Pottstown
November 19 – 4-6 PM – North Penn Community Health Foundation, 2506 North Broad Street, Colmar
November 20 – 7-9 PM – Upper Dublin Township Building, 801 Loch Alsh Avenue, Fort Washington
November 25 – 4-6 PM – Upper Merion Township Building, 175 West Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia
Other opportunities to join in the plan process include taking a survey, getting the latest news on our blog, and signing up to receive plan information and updates. Visit our website at www.montcopa.org/2040CompPlan, stop by the commission, or contact MCPC to participate. Everyone is welcome to follow MCPC on Facebook to enter a Montco 2040 photo contest. The contest theme is What’s the best thing about Montgomery County? Photos should be submitted by November 15. Winners will be highlighted in the plan.
