Olga Meckes, 93, Formerly of Hatboro

Olga (Bonchak) Meckes, formerly of Hatboro, died Saturday at St. Mary’s Manor in Lansdale. She was 93.

Born in Packerton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Skiba) Bonchak of McKees Rocks. She was the beloved wife for nearly 50 years of the late Victor Meckes Sr.

She is survived by four sons, William Meckes of Johnson City Tenn.; Stephen Meckes of Hatfield; Joseph Meckes of Hatboro; and Victor Meckes Jr. of Altoona; a sister, Mary (Bonchak) Korbak of Cary, N.C.; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lorraine (Meckes) Dutko; her granddaughter Michelle Meckes; two brothers John and William; and sister Anna (Olenik) Bonchak of McKees Rocks. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1545 Easton Road, Warrington. Family will receive friends at St. Anne’s from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to Mass. Interment will follow the service at Whitemarsh Memorial Park at 1169 Limekiln Pike in Horsham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church.
