John C. Kerr, Long-time Horsham Resident Dies

Final arrangements are set for John C. Kerr for Wednesday evening.

John C. Kerr, a 58-year Horsham Township resident, died on Sunday.

Kerr, who was born in 1930, shared 62 years of marriage with the late Naomi R. Kerr.

Mr. Kerr was a retired Naval Chief Warrant Officer with more than 20 years of service. He served proudly in both the Korean and Vietnam wars and was a past post commander of the Horsham V.F.W. Post #9788. 

In his post-military life Kerr served as a committeeman for the Horsham Republican Party, a three-term Pennsylvania State Constable for Horsham Township and membership in various service organizations including the Shriners and Masons.

He was the devoted father of four children, Bruce of Orlando, Fla., Robert of Norristown, Barry of Horsham and Bonnie of Hatfield. He was the grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of five.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro.

Service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Kerr's memory to the Catawissa Creek Restoration Association, 702 Sawmill Road Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
