Horsham WWII Veteran Dies

Karl J. Miller, 88, of Horsham, will be laid to rest this week.

Karl J. Miller of Horsham died on Friday. He was 88.

He was the husband of Janet C. (nee Gemsenjager) Miller with whom he had shared 59 years of marriage.

Miller was born in Philadelphia, a son of the late Frederick and Marie Miller.

A Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Theater during World War II, Miller retired from Public Finance Company after 40 years of service.

He was the father of Frederick L. Miller Sr. and his wife Joan, Susan A. Roney and her fiancée Lawrence Koba and Lori Ann Price and husband Albert; grandfather of Frederick L. Miller Jr. and his wife Kimberly, and Ryan Miller, John and Scott Roney, and Elizabeth, Kimberly and Matthew Price; and the great-grandfather of Zachary Miller. Miller was preceded in death by a brother Frederick Miller and a son-in-law, John C. Roney.

Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Friday after 10 a.m. followed by his memorial service at 11 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road. His interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to the Abington Hospice, 2510 Maryland Road, Suite 250, Willow Grove, or to the Ronald McDonald House, 3925 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA. 19104.
