Hatboro-Horsham Student to be Laid to Rest

Eduardo J. Fernandez Jr. of Hatboro died on Jan. 8. He was 18. 

Born in Huntingdon Valley, he was the son of Eduardo J. (Michelle) Fernandez Sr. of Thorndale and Elizabeth (Michael) Cook of Ottsville, the brother of Dominic and Lincoln Cook and Makayla Fernandez, grandson of Thomas and Mercedes Boileau of Hatboro and Jean and Tim Dougherty of Hatboro and Domingo and Irene Fernandez. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

He attended Hatboro-Horsham High School and was an avid skateboarder who enjoyed writing poetry and music along with riding and doing tricks on his BMX bike.

Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in The Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, followed by his funeral Mass at noon in St. John Bosco Church, 235 E. County Line Road, Hatboro.

Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Yellow Ribbon Project at www.yellowribbon.org in his memory.
