Committal Service Set for Hatboro High School Graduate

A service will be held for Russell Walter Wilson, a long-time Hatboro resident and WWII veteran.

Russell Walter Wilson, a long-time Hatboro resident, died on Jan. 11. He was 91.

Wilson graduated from Hatboro High School in 1939 and was a veteran of WWII in the United States Air Force. 

He was the husband of the late Maureen (Simpkins) Wilson, with whom he had shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph Lott and Emilie B. (Hepburn) Wilson.

He is survived by his son David Wilson (Sandee); three grandchildren, Heather Stewart (Chris), Sean Wilson (Kate) and Jonathan Wilson and his great-grand daughter Madeline. He was pre-deceased by his son Paul and his sister Barbara.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Hatboro Cemetery, 36 Fulmore Ave., Hatboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 12 Byberry Rd, Hatboro, PA 19040.
