Map: Where Do the Divorced Women Live in Town?

The map below shows the number of divorced women across your neighborhood as reported by the 2011 American Community Survey.

Do you see any issues with this map? If so, please email data@patch.com.

Last week, we published a map showing the number of the divorced men across your neighborhood. Today, we're doing the same with divorced women.

Data are from the United States Census Bureau's 2011 American Community Survey. (Note: Census.gov was "unavailable" at the time this article was published thanks to the federal government shutdown.)  These values are an estimate for 2011 taking into account 60 months of collected data.

Using your cursor, you can hover over any census tract – the geographic region defined by the U.S. Census – and see the actual number of divorced women in the box in the upper right hand corner of the map.

What do you think explains the clusters of divorced women? Tell us in a comment or a blog post.
