Futura Mobility, a national leader in mobile technology solutions, has announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art Technology Center in Horsham with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included invited guest, former Governor, Ed Rendell.

The new facility is now home to all of Futura’s technology operations and is located just a short distance away from Futura’s corporate headquarters in Fort Washington. With a projected growth of more than 100 percent in 2012 alone, the new Center needed to not only accommodate the current team, but also satisfy projected growth.

The Technology Center boasts state-of-the-art office space and a technology integration centric workflow that allows for efficient and scalable material handling, production and integration lines. In addition, the Center leverages “flex racking” that enables Futura to adjust (in minimal time) the space to accommodate different project workflow requirements.

The Center offers increased warehousing space to accommodate tracking requirements for customer-owned inventory, spare pools, and materials and secure areas to maintain customer specific safeguarding requirements. Futura has also invested in the latest supply chain and customer support software tools that allow the company to manage and track the large numbers of mobile devices including: smartphones, tablets, carts, power systems, computers, etc, flowing through the Technology Center.

In addition, expanding product lines have led to additional vendor repair and break/fix certifications, which are performed onsite to complement Futura’s other mobile technology lifecycle services.
