5 Easy Steps to Boost Your Metabolism

Here are 5 easy steps to get fit for summer!

Looking to boost your metabolism and increase fat loss?

Many people believe in the calories in versus calories out approach combined
with excessive cardio workouts to improve fat loss. This will surely take a toll on your metabolism and set you up for long-term consequences. Take the time to incorporate some simple changes into your day. It requires consistent with the changes for eight weeks in order to see results.

1—Eat More Protein: This is an essential macronutrient found in the cells of the body. During exercise, the muscle is broken down, in order to repair the
muscle, protein assists in muscle growth. The goal is to aim for one gram of protein/lean mass of body weight. For example, if a 150-pound woman has a 100- pound lean body mass, she should program her meals to include 100 grams of protein during the day.

2—HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training is the best form of exercise to boost the
metabolism. Nothing will transform your body faster and burn more fat! It’s also
developed for the individual, not the group. It should leave you breathless, but with ample time to recover.

3—Drink More Water: Drink water likes it's your job. You should drink three to four liters of water each day prior to 6 p.m. At least one liter before leaving the house in the morning for work! Water is vital in keeping you hydrated and
feeling satiated. It keeps your liver working at 100 percent efficiency so that it can do its job of metabolizing fat.

4—Walking Is NOT Exercise: Walking is essential to staying healthy and active, but it is not exercise for most of us. It’s active rest. How many people exercise for one hour each day but remain sedentary? More people than you think! The more you move and stay active the better your health! In addition to your workout, set a daily goal for the miles you walk each day.

5—Zzzzzzzzzzz: That’s right, get your sleep. Although sleep does not have any calories, it plays a major role in regulating your metabolism. Just one week of not getting enough sleep can slash your metabolic rate and make it harder to lose
weight. Rest, recovery, and sleep are commonly overlooked in a fitness program.
