Local Yoginis, Foodies Stir Up Perfect (Nourishing) Storm for Total Wellness

Nourishing Storm teamed up with the Moy Yat Martial Intelligence Studio in Hatboro, PA offering weekly Yoga class, private sessions, workshops and parties.

Nourishing Storm is creating quite a stir in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties, teaming up with the Moy Yat Martial Intelligence Studio in Hatboro, offering weekly Yoga class, private sessions, workshops and parties; creating “Nourishing” paths to total wellness through the harmony between Yoga and food.

Kristin Ritter, founder of Nourishing Storm, discovered Yoga about 10 years ago, realizing that Yoga would bring her closer to a connection and understanding of how she could build a wellness community, inspired by the drive to help others live happy and healthy lives. Her company, Nourishing Storm, grew out of two passions- Yoga and food, the two paths that could create the perfect nourishing storm. Ritter explains, “It took a few years and way too much unnecessary stress to understand, that food (eating well) could not be without Yoga and Yoga (heart & spirit) could not be without food- so I set out a new path to build a community to help others find wellness with Yoga and food.”

Ritter completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Flow teacher training and started studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® to be a Holistic Health Coach, while Megan Connolly, a fellow Yogini, foodie, and Owner of Owl & Twig, a creative branding company, started leading the way with design, planning and creative inspiration.

Ritter and Connolly met John Hitchman, owner of the Moy Yat Martial Intelligence Studio in Hatboro. They had very similar goals in offering the local community a place where they can come to nourish their mind, body and spirit. So they teamed up with the studio and other local Yoga instructors Carol Garner, Dan Connell and Kate McGlasson to offer weekly Yoga classes which are designed for all levels.

They also offer monthly partner yoga, family yoga (parent and children ages 2-5) and community classes where students can support a local charity while meeting new instructors and fellow like-minded students.

Ritter also invites you to a free Beginners Yoga workshop on May 18 at 4 p.m. at the Moy Yat studio located at 209 N York Road in Hatboro.

Ritter concludes, “Whether you are looking to feel alive, breathe a little easier, be less stressed, find your life’s purpose, gather with friends and family, build a community, nourish your mind, body and/or spirit; we are dedicated to your health and wellness.”

Nourishing Storm is about rapture, movement, joyfulness, delight; the moment you realize that everything in your life has prepared you for this awakening of feeling alive, free and purely at peace.
