Trick or Treat Hits Hatboro Early

Merchants in the borough's downtown shopping district will give out treats as part of the annual Halloween Stroll on Saturday.

Boys and ghouls can get a jumpstart on Halloween trick-or-treating Saturday during a stroll of Hatboro's downtown shopping district.

Participating merchants, from Summit Avenue to Horsham Road (look for the orange window signs) will have treats available for costumed characters from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

According to accuweather, Saturday's high of 56 degrees will have a "real feel" of only 51, so be sure to dress the superheroes and princesses accordingly.

Last year, in the days prior to Hurricane Sandy, hundreds of kids flooded the borough for the annual event, which is sponsored by the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce.
