Horsham 5K Nets $3K for Needy Families

A $3,000 donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society is expected to help more than 30 Horsham families in need.

More than 30 needy Horsham families will benefit from the $3,000 proceeds collected from last month's Horsham Freezer 5K run.

Mark Hudson, the co-chair of Horsham Township's second annual run, said a $3,000 donation is being made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society reviews the needs of families they are helping and will make sure funds are going toward things that are really needed, officials said.
