Community Corner
National Food Day Celebration & Talk
It is time to EAT REAL and stay CONNECTED!
Join us for a discussion led by Kristin Ritter, Holistic Health Coach and Bernie, founder of Woodford Heirloom Farm, a local edible garden creator and market grower for heirloom veggies. We will discuss easy ways to shop, cook, eat and even grow local, sustainable foods that our bodies and communities were meant to thrive on. After the discussion, we will be sampling some nourishing fall foods.
Food Day is a nationwide celebration of healthy, affordable, and sustainably produced food, and a grassroots campaign for better food policies. It builds all year long and culminates on October 24. Food Day aims to help people Eat Real. That means cutting back on sugar drinks, overly salted packaged foods, and fatty, factory-farmed meats in favor of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and sustainably raised protein.
