“Drop Dead!” is a wildly funny comedy of a play within a play. It is the dress rehearsal for a very low budget play called “Drop Dead”. The show’s director “Victor LePew” (Walter March) is a flamboyant personality with dubious talent. The producer is “Lou Wisenheimer” (Bob Petrik) who put up the money for the show so his ditzy girlfriend “Candy Apples” (Jillian Busman) can be a star. Her co-stars include washed TV star “Mona Monet” (Ginny Pickles), “Brent Reynolds” (Thomas Settefrati) a Grade A ham actor with an ego to match, a naïve first time actor, “Chaz Looney” (Rick DiDonato), an ancient actress well beyond her prime, “Constance Crawford” (Elizabeth Hummel), Gene Shalit’s brother and TV repairman, “Dick Shalit” (Joe Forsstrom) and a frantic stage manager, “Phillip” (Bob DeMarco). The playwright “Alabama Miller” (Lorie Baldwin) shows up to find her play has been rewritten.

At the dress rehearsal, everything goes wrong including cast members getting murdered. The set is so cheap the furniture is painted on the wall. The eldest actress is almost completely deaf and can’t remember her lines. Egos flair, props break, lights fall and general mayhem cause for a laugh riot.
