What is Safe Pride?
Many people are unaware that gay men are not allowed to donate blood, organs or tissues in Canada and the United States. The intent of the guidelines is to prevent communicable disease from being transmitted
from a potential donor to potential organ, tissue or blood recipients.
This ban is aimed at promiscuous gay men, but completely side swipes
gay men that have been in monogamous relationships for many years.
It doesn't even begin to address heterosexual promiscuity.

Safe Pride is a nonprofit organization that works towards raising awareness about this issue. This law needs to be addressed. Not only for equality reasons, but to address the pandemic blood shortage world wide right now. The need far out ways the supply. Anyone who can give, should be able to give.
