It’s the beginning of a new season, so get out and try something different. Patch has some ideas to help you have a great weekend.

Pennypack Farm Harvest Festival

Where/When: , 685 Mann Road, Horsham. Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go:  The Harvest Festival is an annual community event celebrating the season’s harvest. Come out  for live music, food, children’s activities and local-sustainable vendors. Activities include: Bug Safari, Hay Ride, Face Painting, and Build-your-own Scarecrow.

Pricing: Admission is Free! But do bring cash for food and activities.

World War II Weekend

Where/When: , 859 County Line Road, Horsham. Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: This was re-scheduled from last weekend. Join the Friends of Graeme Park, and the re-enactors from the 3rd and 35th Infantries, the 9th S.S. and the 110th Medical Battalion for a weekend of encampments and demonstrations on the grounds of Graeme Park. Saturday's activities will be capped off with a concert by the West Chester Swing Kings, a big band who plays songs from the 1940s through today including classics from Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, and Brian Setzer.

When the troops aren't engaging, you may tour the camps, see period tanks and trucks, tour the historic Keith House, browse the sutlers' booths and grab some lunch.

Pricing: $10 on Saturday, which includes the concert; $6 on Sunday; Concert only is $5.

Boy Scout Troop 81 Country Chicken Dinner

Where/When: , 300 S. York Road, Hatboro. Saturday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why Go: Help the Boy Scouts raise money while enjoying a great dinner.

Dinner includes: Breaded chicken breast, corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and biscuits, coffee, tea, juice and assorted pies.

Pricing: $10 adult; $7 12 and under. Open to the public

Great Is Thy Faithfulness Concert

Where/When: Calvary Presbyterian Church, 405 Easton Road, Willow Grove. Friday 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Calvary Presbyterian Church is turning 75 and to celebrate, the church is having a free concert for the community.

The concert will include performances by nationally acclaimed musicians Ruth Naomi Floyd, Dr. Ron Matthews, Kristine Biller Mattson, Dr. Sam Shu, Erikson Rojas, and Harvey String Ensemble.

Pricing: Free – can’t beat that

 “Paws 4 Life” Dog Walk

Where/When: , 300 Veterans Cir, Warminster. Saturday 9 a.m.

Why Go: Gilda’s Club and Stroehmann will present the 13th Annual “Paws 4 Life” Dog Walk.

Following the walk, Gilda’s invites everyone to meet at the clubhouse — adjacent to the park — for some family fun, including food, a moonbounce and playground for children, a DJ, contests and prizes, raffles and auctions, a demonstration ring, and a vendor area. It’s a wonderful day for family and friends — both two-legged and four-legged — and raises much-needed funds to support Gilda’s Club.

Pricing: Registration is $25 a dog
